With what may be one of the oddest names for a game I’ve ever seen, Kubifaktorium is at its core a colony management and automation game.
One of the main aspects of Kubifaktorium, is controlling your colonists, having them build structures based on the blueprints you place down. Each colonist has a unique set of skills that will grow as they work, but if you want them to work effeicenty, you will need to manage their personal needs.
As you progress through the game, you will unlock the ability to build automated machines, that will cut down on the work the colonists will have to do, and will keep working even when your colonists need to take a break.
Progressing through the campaign will require you to explore and colonize a multitude of islands with the biome changing throughout. New biomes will bring in new resources to gather and new enemies to defeat.
While being mainly a building and management game, Kubifaktorium, the lands are inhabited by enemies that you will need to craft weapons to overcome.
Kubifaktorium has Steam Workshop support allowing creators to upload new animals, biomes, items, etc that all players can download and use.
Kubifaktorium was released into Steam Early Access on July 3rd and can be found here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/898720/Kubifaktorium/
